Laser PLasma Driven Light Sources


 Welcome to LUX, a group at the University of Hamburg, located at the Center for Free-Electron Science. We develop and operate laser-plasma driven light sources. We operate the 200 TW laser system ANGUS and the LUX beamline. This covers laser transport, laser-plasma interaction and electron generation, electron beam transport, undulator development, generation of undulator radiation, and diagnostics. We support our experimental work through theoretical studies, Particle-In-Cell simulations, and code development.
